Erasmus+ initiative "European Universities": results published

German universities or Universities of Applied Sciences are involved in 25 of the 30 alliances funded.

Through innovative and diverse forms of long-term cooperation, the European Universities initiative promotes shared European values and a strong European identity. It supports European universities to improve their quality, performance, attractiveness and international competitiveness. On 3 July 2023, the European Commission announced the results of the call for proposals: German universities or Universities of Applied Sciences are involved in 25 of the 30 alliances funded. They network with their European and international partner universities and implement common goals and programmes of the European Research and Education Area. By mid-2024, the number of the current 50 European Universities alliances is expected to grow to a total of 60.
