Under the Grant Agreement, a consortium agreement is required for all consortia projects. In the MSCA, this is relevant for Doctoral Networks and Staff Exchanges.
The Consortium Agreement is concluded for the whole duration of the project and determines the rights and obligations within the project consortium to ensure safe cooperation. It must be concluded by all beneficiaries and may include associated partners. The inclusion of associated partners is not mandatory, however.
For the MSC actions Doctoral Networks and Staff Exchanges, the BAK working group "Recht" has prepared a model for the MSCA based on the DESCA Model Consortium Agreement for Horizon Europe projects.
The beneficiaries may negotiate and conclude the content of the Consortium Agreement freely in keeping with the provisions of the Grant Agreement and with national law.
