In Staff Exchanges, the host institution receives unit cost contributions for the seconded staff and for covering research, training and networking, as well as unit costs for management and indirect costs.

In COFUND, a fixed financial contribution covers (part of) the fellow's living expenses and / or costs related to the researchers' training, research expenses, transfer of knowledge and networking activities, as well as management and indirect costs. COFUND projects may be co-financed by Structural Funds or other third-party funds, but not through any other Horizon Europe funding.

In Doctoral Networks, Postdoctoral Fellowships, Staff Exchanges and COFUND, a long-term leave allowance covers personnel costs arising from the absence of a researcher for more than 30 consecutive days due to illness or parental leave.

The special needs allowance covers additional costs for researchers with handicaps.

The action "MSCA and Citizens" covers direct and indirect costs for the implementation of "European Researchers' Night" events in form of a lump sum.
