The European Research Executive Agency (REA) received 17,058 proposals by the deadline of 10 September 2025 (including 15.820 for European Fellowships and 1.238 for Global Fellowships). This is 64.6 % more than in the previous year and thus the highest number of applications ever received for a fundingscheme in the 40 years of the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. In comparison: 10,360 proposals were submitted in 2024. It is expected that around 1.650 projects will be funded with an estimated budget of 404,3 million euros. The results are expected to be announced in February 2026.
