The European Commission has published a guide for Gender Equality Plans (GEPs). The guidance is aimed at organizations that are required to submit a GEP in order to apply for funding in Horizon Europe. This will be binding for public institutions, both public and private research organizations, and universities from 2022. The existence of a GEP will then be one of the eligibility criteria.
The guide
- introduces the components of the new criterion,
- explains what it means in practice,
- presents what steps other organizations have already taken, and what resources are still available. These include, for example, previous funded relevant projects and their results.
The document is available as a PDF in English at European Commission Publications.
