The new award is an initiative of the European Commission to recognize and celebrate excellence in the implementation of gender equality by higher education and research institutions in three prize categories. The application is open to universities, higher education institutions and research institutions (public or private) located in an EU country or a country associated to Horizon Europe and aims, among other things, to support higher education and research institutions applying for funding under Horizon Europe to develop a Gender Equality Plan (GEP). The deadline for applications is 13 October 2022.
